As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, CFR celebrates a decade of hosting the annual Conference on Diversity in International Affairs (CDIA) in collaboration with the Global Access Pipeline and the International Career Advancement Program. As CFR celebrates this milestone, it continues to work toward the conference’s goal of increasing access to and preparedness for careers in foreign policy for students and professionals with diverse backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in the field. Including plenaries on U.S. foreign policy topics and seminars on professional development featuring top thinkers and leaders such as former Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams and Actor Kal Penn, this groundbreaking initiative has welcomed thousands of participants and will reach hundreds more this year, on Wednesday, May 25, and Thursday, May 26. This year’s keynote speaker is Roger W. Ferguson Jr., the Steven A. Tananbaum distinguished fellow for international economics and former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve and former president and CEO of TIAA.
