Cyrus R. Vance Fellowship in Diplomatic Studies

The Cyrus R. Vance Fellowship in Diplomatic Studies program offered outstanding Foreign Service officers from the U.S. Department of State the opportunity to spend a year affiliated with CFR in New York as a visiting fellow and to step away from the demands of public service to reflect on foreign policy issues. The fellowship was in operation from 1974 to 2012. 

International Affairs Fellowship in International Economics

The International Affairs Fellowship (IAF) in International Economics, sponsored by Kimberly Querrey, offered business economists and university-based economics scholars hands-on experience in the U.S. government to expand their range of thinking and work on international economic policy. The fellowship was in operation from 2016 to 2022. 

International Affairs Fellowship in Nuclear Security

The International Affairs Fellowship (IAF) in Nuclear Security, sponsored by the Stanton Foundation, offered university-based scholars valuable hands-on experience in the nuclear security policymaking field and placed selected fellows in U.S. government positions and international organizations for a period of twelve months to work with practitioners. The fellowship was in operation from 2011 to 2018. 

International Affairs Fellowship in South Korea

The International Affairs Fellowship in South Korea (IAF-SK), sponsored by the Asan Institute for Policy Studies, assisted mid-career scholars and professionals from the public and private sectors in advancing their analytic capabilities and broadening their foreign policy experience in South Korea. The fellowship was in operation from 2011 to 2014.
