Giovanna Ban

The David F. Swensen Chief Investment Officer

Giovanna Ban joined the Council on Foreign Relations in March 2017 as the chief investment officer. She is responsible for partnering with the Investment Committee in the investment management and oversight of the endowment portfolio and for managing the internal investment team. Previously she was a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates working in the US and Europe between 2000 and 2017. She holds a BS from Columbia University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She is also a chartered financial analyst.
