The open letter by Tom Cotton (R., AR) and 46 other senators about the Iran talks was my subject in another article. For drafting this open letter Cotton was accused of everything up to and including treason. But expressing their opinions about major national issues is after all part of the job of senators, and Cotton and his colleagues have a responsibility to do this--especially when a role for Congress is being deliberately avoided by the administration.
